Himouto! Umaru-chan ( 干物妹!うまるちゃん , Himōto! Umaru-chan ) [a] is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated past Sankaku Caput. It began serialization in Shueisha'southward seinen manga magazine Weekly Immature Jump on March fourteen, 2013. Information technology has been collected in twelve tankōbon volumes. An alternative version was serialized for two chapters in Shueisha'due south monthly magazine Miracle Spring in 2012. An anime television series adaptation aired in 2015. A second flavor titled Himouto! Umaru-chan R aired from Oct to December 2017, while a sequel series titled Himouto! Umaru-chan Thousand was released in November 2017.
Premise [ edit ]
Umaru Doma is a high school girl who lives with her older brother Taihei. At schoolhouse, Umaru appears to be the platonic student with practiced looks, top grades and many talents. Withal, she transforms into a kid-sized layabout and spends fourth dimension at dwelling feeding her video game and food addiction, much to Taihei's dismay. Throughout the serial, Umaru uses her alternative personality to make friends with others, while at habitation she throws tantrums well-nigh Taihei not buying her things.
